gulistan Sarbas

Gulistan Sarbas completed her acting training at Pera Fine Arts Theatre in Istanbul (2008–2012), where she built the foundations of a career that has since taken her across theatre, television and film productions in Turkey and Europe.

Alongside her on-stage work, Gulistan has contributed to a wide range of stage productions in roles including assistant director, casting and coaching, giving her a strong understanding of both performance and the creative process behind the scenes.

Since 2020, she has been an active performer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Migrant Shakespeare, a production that has received positive critical attention, including recognition from Catherine Henry Lamm (British Theatre Guide, 2024).

Now London-based, Gulistan is drawn to work that explores human psychology and emotional truth. She speaks Turkish and Kurdish, enjoys ensemble-driven and physical performance, and has training in martial arts, dance and movement.
