Brendan Lyle

Brendan Lyle is an English actor, filmmaker and musician, and a graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. In 2025, he filmed alongside Taron Egerton and Jessica Henwick in the StudioCanal and LuckyChap feature Everybody Wants to F** Me*, due for release in 2027.

His screen credits include the award-winning Birthcloud, Kate Herron’s Fan Girl and Night Bus, directed by Henrietta and Jessica Ashworth and co-starring Susan Wokoma. He led Thalys’ Cannes Lions-nominated campaign Scents of the City and has appeared in campaigns for Three, Niquitin and Sparkasse. His stage work includes A Christmas Carol at Chichester Festival Theatre, Shirley; Or the Inexplicable Question of God’s Actions at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Exit, Pursued by a Bear at Shakespeare’s Globe. In 2025, he starred in Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran’s critically acclaimed Dr Freud Will See You Now, Mrs Hitler.

Brendan has written and directed work across fiction, documentary and the avant-garde, including the Chichester Film Festival-nominated short Sam & Isobel, starring Ellie Darcey-Alden. He has completed his debut feature screenplay and is developing several new projects. From 2016 to 2023, he fronted Brighton band Comfort, performing at The Great Escape, Aespia Festival and Sofar Sounds before concluding with a sold-out show at The Shacklewell Arms.
